Meghan Markle is adamant about getting answers from King Charles III over the "different rules" she has had to deal with since marrying into the royal family. She has reportedly tried to set up a meeting with the monarch to address her concerns.

It was earlier reported that Meghan was "furious" over the situation since she had often seen Duchess Sarah Ferguson getting away with the same things that got her in trouble.

According to the New York Post, Meghan Markle is seeking a response from King Charles on the reason why she and  Prince Harry have been subjected to a "different" set of rules than the rest of the royal family.

The pair have faced scrutiny from the Firm over their bombshell documentary "Harry & Meghan" and the duke's memoir, "Spare." They have also seen many of their royal privileges revoked, including adequate security, since leaving England for California in 2020.

Per royal expert and commentator Neil Sean, Meghan is eager to understand the reason behind the alleged bias against them. She has even made attempts to arrange a meeting with her father-in-law to address these concerns.

"Meghan Markle wants some answers from His Majesty the King," Sean told listeners in a YouTube video, per the news outlet.

"She tried to set up a meeting with him, she sent him a letter and wanted a one-to-one to explain exactly the problems she's encountered ever since becoming a member of the British monarchy," he added.

It comes on the heels of claims made by the same royal expert, Sean, that Meghan is "furious" about being subjected to a  different set of rules ever since she joined the royal family.

He further mentioned that the former "Suits" star also feels that the situation is unfair because her fellow Duchess, Sarah Ferguson, seems to get away with the same things that get her in trouble.

"The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show 'This Morning,' 'Loose Women' and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family," Sean said, per New York Post.

He added, "Meghan and Harry seemingly don't understand why it's a different rule for her."

The relationship between the Sussexes and King Charles has been tense since the duo stepped down from their royal roles.

However, things seem to have taken a turn for the better after Harry and Meghan reached out to the monarch on his 75th birthday. According to reports, the trio had a "warm conversation" on that day, which was seen as an initial effort to rebuild ties.

More recently, sources close to the royal family claimed that the duke and duchess were planning to reunite with the King.

The duo is reportedly making the reconciliation move because they know that "they need the King and his blessing far more than the King needs them," as stated by royal author Ingrid Seward in her interview with GB News, per The Mirror.

Seward also mentioned that the move will also aid Charles' desire to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, once again.

"Obviously, King Charles wants to see his son and his grandchildren, and last summer, he apparently invited them to Balmoral, which they turned down," Seward told the publication.

An alternate source has also hinted that Meghan has an extra personal agenda, which is why she is pushing for a return to the royal Firm, per the New York Post.

According to royal author Tom Bower, Meghan "wants to be queen" and had hoped to do things "her way" when she joined the royal family. However, she quickly discovered that the "royal way" was the only way.

He also mentioned that Meghan was regretting stepping down from her royal role, as her counterpart, Princess Kate, who is married to Harry's brother Prince William, appears to be the one receiving all the attention.

"Kate is glowing, Kate is successful, Kate is popular — everything that Meghan wanted," Bower added.

Regarding a possible return, royal biographer and expert Tom Quinn claimed that Meghan would have to adhere to the royal family lifestyle and physically live in England, per Express. He also said that the mother of two should not expect an apology from the royal family.
