Disney Plus censorship job raises eyebrows: 'It honestly just draws attention to it more'

A Photoshopped scene in the Disney Plus version of an old episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place” is turning heads online.

Twitter user Danielle Owen was watching season 2 episode 10 of the series, titled “Baby Cupid,” when she noticed that actress Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Russo family mom Theresa on the show, had her V-neck-clad chest censored in one scene.

“So Disney+ is blurring out the tiniest hint of a cleavage now?!” Owen wrote. “Seriously?!”

Twitter users were quick to laugh at the bad photoshop job, which, honestly, makes Canals-Barrera’s subtle cleavage even less conspicuous than if left unedited.

“It honestly just draws attention to it more than if it wasn’t uncensored,” one person wrote.

“This REALLY draws the eye to the so-called ‘offensive’ area,” said another. “They should have just left things alone. Completely insane.”

Earlier this year, Disney Plus stirred controversy with an edited scene in the 1984 movie “Splash,” which stars Tom Hanks as a man who falls in love with a woman, played by Daryl Hannah, who is secretly a mermaid.

In one scene, Hannah’s character runs away from Hanks and dives into the sea, revealing her butt — however, in the Disney Plus version, viewers see something notably different.
