Lingerie was unknowingly tucked inside fake roses sold by Pennsylvania Catholic school

Recipients of Mother’s Day roses sold by a Catholic school in Pennsylvania received an added bonus — lingerie.

The flower sale at St. Anselm School in Philadelphia wasn’t quite what it seemed, as the roses were meant with more adult intentions.

Video shared on social media shows a woman filming her husband’s reaction to the gift. He takes the fake rose out of the package, and notices the surprise inside the flower.

“Thank you, Saint Anselm’s,” the mom says as her husband presents the red thong.

The principal at Saint Anselm notified parents of the mistake in an email, informing them “the administration will determine how the error occurred and take steps to prevent a further recurrence,” KYW reported.

Ken Gavin, spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, said in a statement that the school “took immediate steps to remediate the issue.

“The situation represents an unfortunate mistake and we apologize deeply,” Gavin said.

Saint Anselm is in Northeast Philadelphia and enrolls 250 students. It’s unclear how many people received the fake roses, but Gavin said their distribution “appears to have taken place on a very limited basis.”
