Russian Major General injured near Svatove General Staff report

Major General Oleg Tsokov, Commander of the 144th Motor Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, was injured near Svatove under Ukrainian fire.

In addition, bodies of 105 Russian military personnel killed in Ukraine were taken to a hospital in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) on 19–20 September; another 200 bodies are set to be taken there in the near future.
Russian forces continue to forcibly mobilise male residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. On 19 September, personnel of the 1st Army Corps detained 10 men in Horlivka (Donetsk Oblast) – overlooking their age and health condition – and forced them to enlist.
Over 18–20 September, representatives of a Russian private military company attempted to recruit prisoners held in the Luhansk detention centre, but were not successful.
Russian occupation authorities in Crimea said that the majority of reservists will be recruited from private security companies with experience of military service. In Sevastopol, some firms have already been instructed to prepare lists of all employees subject to the requirements.
The General Staff also reported that the graduation of the final-year cadets of the Marshal Vasilevsky Air Defence Military Academy of the Russian Armed Forces in Smolensk is set to take place earlier than planned; the graduates will then immediately take up their placements in the Russian army.
The Russian military leadership plans to hold meetings with citizens in the reserve at the Moscow Combined Arms Command School between 26 September to 24 October.
Russian forces carried out four missile strikes, 27 airstrikes and over 75 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) on military and civilian targets across the territory of Ukraine over the course of 22 September in violation of international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war.
Russian attacks damaged infrastructure in more than 45 cities, towns and villages, including Pechenihy, Pryshyb, Yarova, Spirne, Vesele, Bakhmut, Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Neskuchne, Poltavka, Yehorivka, Bezimenne, Kryvyi Rih, Bilohiria, Zaporizhzhia, Bilohirka, Pervomaiske, Mykolaiv, Ochakiv, Vysokopillia, Sukhyi Stavok, Myroliubivka and Novohryhorivka.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets using tank guns, mortars and various types of artillery:
On the Sivershchyna front: areas in and around Shalyhyne, Myropilske, Volfyne and Izdetske (Sumy Oblast);
On the Slobozhanshchyna front: areas in and around Dubnivka, Hoptivka, Vovchansk, Kamianka and Kupiansk;
On the Kramatorsk front: Maiaky, Mykolaivka, Dibrova, Kryva Luka, Pryshy and Siversk;
On the Bakhmut front: Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Vesele, Bilohorivka and Yakovlivka;
On the Avdiivka front: Krasnohorivka, Opytne, Marinka and Novomykhailivka;
On the Novopavlivka front: Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Neskuchne, Vremivka, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka;
Russian forces did not undertake active operations on the Zaporizhzhia front, but used artillery to fire on Mala Tokmachka, Nova Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Zelene Pole, Zaliznychne and Rivnopillia;
On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces fired on over 20 towns and villages.
Over the course of 22 September, units of Ukrainian defence forces [collective name for all Ukrainian military formations involved in the ongoing combat in this country - ed.] have repelled Russian attacks near Kupiansk, Spirne, Maiorsk, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Opytne and Kamianka.
Ukrainian aircraft struck 25 areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated and six anti-aircraft defence systems.
In addition, Ukrainian air defence units destroyed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter and nine Russian UAVs across several fronts.
Over the course of 22 September, Ukraine’s rocket and artillery units struck six Russian command posts; four areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated; three anti-aircraft systems; three artillery systems; and three ammunition storage points.
