An armed man was killed on Monday after ramming his car into security forces on the Champs-Élysées. Authorities say the suspect was previously known for having ties to extremism. No others were injured in the attack. In light of the attack, France's foreign minister said he will introduce a bill to extend the current state of emergency in France set to expire on July 15 to Nov. 1. The state of emergency has been in place since the November 2015 coordinated ISIS attacks that killed 130 in Paris.
