Visitors Flock to Reopened Utah State Park

Utah’s Sand Hollow State Park said it was forced to turn away visitors on Saturday, April 25, after people flocked to the reopened park.

Governor Herbert announced on April 17 that Utah state parks could reopen, and recommended that visitors maintain responsible recreation when engaging in outdoor activities.

Carl Downing shared this video on Saturday showing a line of cars along Utah Highway 7 near the Sand Hollow State Park visitor parking lot. By 1 pm on Saturday, the park said it was turning away new visitors due to crowding.
